📆 Mark your calendars: The Bavarian Fall Fest in St. Marys will take place September 20-22: 💭 think great food, vendors and live music all weekend long.
❤ If you’re a part of an arts organization that needs a little extra funding, you can apply to The Creative Sector Flex Fund (CSFF) all the way up to October 1. The CSFF grant program provides support to eligible applicants that provide consistent annual levels of artistic programming and/or arts services in Pennsylvania. Applicants must have an average annual arts revenue between $10,000 - $200,000. Apply here.
👟 If you need a little extra incentive to get out there and get your steps in, you might want to join the MOVIN’ FOR MILES WALKING CLUB at Benzinger Park (it’s an ongoing competition where you can walk anytime and then log your miles for a chance to win prizes). The program runs until October 31 so there is still plenty of time for you to start if you haven’t already. Check out all of the details by clicking here.

🫎 ELK WALK AND TALK: If you’re interested in learning more about the wildlife that surrounds the Elk Country Visitor Center, hike the trails with a staff member from 2-3 PM as they cover topics such as what elk eat, where they spend their time, and how each season brings something different. — 📍950 Winslow Hill Road, Benezette

🕉️ Take yoga to a whole new level by incorporating silks! GENTLE FLOW AERIAL YOGA focuses on improving flexibility, core strength, balance, grip and overall joint and muscle health. Restorative poses will also be covered. Jes Blauser will show you how to flow from one pose to the next, incorporate breathing exercises and meditate — all from inside the comfort of a snuggly cocoon. Classes are Thursdays from 6-7:15 PM. 🎭 This weekend is your last chance to catch The Footlighter’s of Elk County Community Theater’s production of MISERY. Show times are tonight through Saturday night at 7:30 PM and will take place at the St. Marys Loyal Order of Moose. You can buy your tickets here.
FRIDAY (9/13)
🔥 Who here loves a good ghost story? 🙋♀️ Straub Brewery is hosting James Baumgratz (author of Missing in the Pennsylvania Wilds) for FRIDAY THE 13th FIRESIDE STORIES from 6-9 PM, where James will relay mysterious stories of persons that disappeared without a trace throughout the PA Wilds during the early-mid 1900s.
There will be:
🍹Specialty cocktails made with Chicken Hill S’mores Moonshine
🌑 A private nighttime tour of the brewery
🎧 Entertainment provided by DJ Lilman

If you love to work on FIBER ART (such as knitting, crocheting, loom work and other yarn-based projects), there are now a few options for you to get together with others who enjoy something similar. Simply bring the projects that you are working on and let loose.
🧶 Yarn Arts Anonymous meets at The Creative Cup every Sunday from 10 AM-2 PM. Check out their Facebook group.
St. Marys Public Library’s KNIT AND CROCHET CLUB meets on Thursdays at 1 PM.
Ridgway Public Library’s NEEDLEWORK CLUB meets on the second Monday of every month at 4:30 PM. (Their first meeting is 9/9). All ages, beginner through expert, are welcome to attend.

If your child lives in Elk County, register your child at ImaginationLibrary.com and he/she will receive a free book every month until their 5th birthday. This program is sponsored locally by The Johnsonburg United Methodist Church.
📣There will be an ELEMENTARY NIGHT CHEER CAMP on September 17-19 from 5-6:30 PM. Registration is September 9 from 6-7 at the St. Marys Middle School Entrance. Cost is $30/student.
